CLASS DESCRIPTION
Slow Flow Yin Yoga is a breath-based, mindful movement practice that focuses on bringing one's awareness into the present moment. This practice invites us to slow down, listen to our breath, our body and heart, cultivating more spaciousness and fluidity from the inside out. so we can learn to move through life with more ease, balance, and grace.
This class is available, in person at One Dojo or from the comfort of your home or online with zoom with any valid One Dojo membership or punch card.
This is a Therapeutic "yin" style of practice to balance out the stress in our fast-paced lives. We practice slower, movements without force, supporting the opening of the fascia, the regulation of the nervous system, and re-patterning the structure.
The movement's slower pace and mindful integration of this style of practice support awareness by giving space and time to sense and feel the more subtle aspects of body, mind, and heart.
In her yoga classes, Alison guides students through a self-healing style of yoga, empowering individuals, especially women in life transitions, to move from a place of feeling stuck in the pain body to being empowered, self guided in their bodies.
Alison weaves structural alignment into both yin and yang postures, to bring an experience of balance and ease into the body, mind and spirit.
