This membership includes 20 sessions of the Iaido Beginners' Course, plus 4 BONUS session-punches to attend other regularly scheduled classes at One Dojo while the course is in effect.

More than 25 hours of guided Iaido classes, plus up to 6 hours of extra classes for you to explore One Dojo's offerings in Yoga and other Aikido styles.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Learn Iaido in a friendly, safe and constructive environment!
In this course you will:
• Improve awareness & coordination
• Practice respect and listening
• Build confidence
• Learn the fundamentals of Iaido
Our classes use partner and solo practice to polish minds through the body. The sword, as an extension of the mind and body, becomes the mirror showing practitioners areas for growth and development.
This introductory Iaido course is geared for adult beginners (ages 18+) to learn Aikido with other adults (serious teens welcome). No prior Iaido experience is necessary. Classes provide a positive, safe experience for all practitioners.
To help introduce beginners to the fundamental movements of Iaido, students are given one-on-one instruction by senior instructors and/or advanced students. Training starts with a bokken(wooden sword) until proficiency is demonstrated.
The emphasis of instruction during this course is to allow new students to gain fundamental experience in their practice. After these basics are understood, new students may wish to continue with the on-going weekly classes.
Classes are taught by Kent Krumvieda Sensei, Head Instructor and Dojo-Cho of Iaido Tanshinjuku. He holds a black belt in Iaido and Aikido.
HOW TO GET STARTED
1. Purchase this membership
2. Reserve each class up to 1-hr in advance, so we know when to expect you and when not to (if you will be a way for any vacation, illness or work reason).
3. Wear a martial arts uniform, light stretchy or loose cotton/sweat pants and a t-shirt (yoga or gym clothes) on first day. Uniform will be discussed in class at One Dojo during the first week of the course.
4. Bring a water bottle
5. Clip your finger- & toe-nails for safety prior to coming to One Dojo
6. Remove any jewelry before getting on the mat.
** FULL MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS
• ELIGIBILITY – This membership is available ONLY TO NEW STUDENTS who have never taken Iaido classes with Iaido Tanshinjuku at One Dojo.
• ACTIVATION – Membership is considered activated on the first day student attends a class at One Dojo.
• DURATION – Membership is good for the dates outlined above under Membership Description.
• MEMBERSHIP HOLDS: No holds may be placed on this membership.
• EXCLUSIONS – Valid only for classes at One Dojo stated above. NOT VALID valid for any PRIVATE LESSONS, PODs, CAMPS, other Special COURSES, or Special EVENTS. We reserve the right to refuse access to any specially scheduled session at One Dojo.
• MISSED CLASSES – No make-up classes will be provided, if student misses classes for any reason (including illness, work, vacation, etc.) and does not take full advantage of the membership once activated.
• TRANSFERABILITY – Membership may be purchased as a gift for someone else. Purchaser may transfer this membership to any one person they designate. This pass is transferable only if it has been unused and not activated. Once activated, this special membership may not be transferred to another person.
• EXCHANGES – If this membership has not yet been activated, up to 90% of the cash value of this membership received by One Dojo may be exchanged for any other One Dojo membership. If activated, at the discretion of One Dojo administration, the unused portion of this membership may be exchanged and applied toward other memberships at One Dojo.
• EXPIRATION – If never started or activated, this membership will fully expire and have no value one year after purchase date.
